Beatsource to Beatport broke djay collections

Did you contact Beatport Support regarding this @jmoak311?

I haven’t. I found most of the tracks when I searched for them. There were only a dozen or so tracks I haven’t found.

Okay. Thanks @jmoak311

still significant issue with App stability due to having songs from Beatsource still marked within DJAY PRO COLLECTIONS. This is as much as Djay Pro issue and has highlighted mutliple issues that crash that app such as Sorting by Source in the Music Collection on iPad OS.

JUST TRY IT!! Sort by Source on the iPad using Djay Pro “Music” Collections. My app crashed right away and gets stuck in a crash loop. Horrible this app is becoming unusable! Fix this!

Thanks for the info @backyardwoodworksla. I have submitted an official support ticket on your behalf so our team can review your crash reports.

Please keep this topic focused on the Beatsource/Beatport issue. Thanks!

Meant to chime in earlier but got caught up with work and other things. You are not alone. This was a sloppy migration that has left a lot of holes in my library as well. There is no fix for a mass amount of songs other than manually going in and replacing each. It doesn’t make sense.

Thanks for sharing @djsunkisst. I moved your other comment to a different topic.

Hey everyone reading this. I found a decent workaround for the issue of the tracks from Beatsource not automatically flipping to Beatport.

Step 1: Isolate all your Beatsource songs in your collection by sorting by source

Step 2: Add those to a playlist, name it ‘Beatsource Export’ or something similar so you know what it’s for

Step 3: Export that playlist to CSV and open Soundiiz.com

Step: 4 Import to Soundiiz and select Beatport as the destination

It will prompt you to log in to Beatport before the import, and then you’re good to go! You may need a premium account to do a large amount of tracks, but this is the best solution I have found so far. Soundiiz is a tool I’ve used for awhile and glad it came in handy for this situation as well.

Now I will say the success rate is about 14%. A decent size chunk of tracks are missing just because they have been either renamed, removed, or a different version is on Beatport. Not the prettiest transition but it will have to do for now.

Once you’re done, just open Djay and drag the playlist from Beatport into the Djay collection and it will flip all of the associated Beatsource tracks to Beatport. If you did it right you should see that first playlist you created with Beatsource should now mostly be filled with Beatport tracks.

A heads up, large transfers will take several hours and show the progress bar stuck at 0 in Soundiiz, don’t restart just give it time and come back to it later.

If anyone finds a better solution please chime in!
