YOUR QUESTION / SUGGESTION / FEEDBACK:
- BPM is not detected when I use my DJM-450 in Auto mode with DJay Pro, any way to fix this by any chance ?
Hi @DJ_KEV1, that one sits on the mixer side rather than in djay. djay doesn’t transmit BPM to the DJM-450, so in AUTO the mixer is working it out on its own from whatever audio arrives at the effect channel you’ve selected — it has no visibility of what djay is showing. I went through the DJM-450 Manual and there are two things worth checking:
-
Effect channel selector — point it at the channel that’s actually playing (1 or 2), not MIC or AUX.
-
TRIM — Pioneer’s own troubleshooting for “BPM cannot be measured” points straight at input level. Aim for the channel level meter peaking around 0 dB.
Also, please note that AUTO only measures between 70 and 180 BPM, and some tracks simply won’t read cleanly. When it can’t lock on, the display flashes the last value it found — that’s your cue to tap it in with TAP. I hope that helps!
Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
Thanks Slak, I wanted to test it through the weekend, but unfortunately it didn’t work. I need to tap to get the right BPM
