Bpm option to have more decimal places

Thanks for the additional feedback @stannington

I would have been surprised if it had been any different. I’m definitely a fan of manual beatmatching, but you only set the tempo of one track so that it matches the (displayed) tempo of the other track. Ultimately, this is nothing more than a form of the sync button - and it’s usually already there anyway.

Do we have any news regarding this?
It’s been a long time and I’m still hoping for this update

Hi @Djander, thanks for continuing to push this topic. I will follow up with the dev team on this suggestion again.

It’s possible with some custom MIDI mapping to increase and decrease by tiny increments, like 0.01 of a BPM - I’ve done it using Shift plus Rotary Encoder on my Reloop Mixtour Pro. It’s just the UI doesn’t show it.

For clarity, it is possible to do proper locked beat matching with the MIDI config. Would be great if the UI could reflect that in either the Tempo, but ideally the BPM.

Thanks for sharing @James_Gillies

Just chiming in that .xx decimal points would be a valued addition

Thanks for the input @jaysnbrwn

Good morning, how are you?

Can anyone give me some feedback on whether they fixed the pitch fluctuations in these latest versions?

Unfortunately, it was something that bothered me a lot because, when I tried to find the pitch by ear, I felt like the BPM didn’t match, unless I always used sync. I have nothing against those who use it, but I like to mix the classic way, and that’s uncomfortable.

@Djander: unfortunately not.

I totally agree this is a shortcoming. Being able to see and adjust the tempo up to two decimals would be a major improvement.

My friends! Good morning!
It’s clear that most people need this improvement. This also has an impact on mixing, as not everyone uses sync. I’m not prejudiced against those who do, but I like to mix in classic mode to find the bpm of the classic mode. Even in the latest versions, I see that the programming team doesn’t change this parameter. When you mix in the traditional way, the pitch fluctuates a lot. It’s often embarrassing because they don’t pay attention to what their competitors do to adjust this.

I ask that you take a close look at this.
You have everything it takes to be the best software in the world.
Thanks you.

Thanks for the additional feedback @Djander. I’ll let the team know.

Hi there, yup agree, 2 decimal points would be fantastic.

Thanks for the input @ajayabc

Just to add a comment/rant on this - when using a combination of an iPad in four deck hardware mode and a DDJ-FLX10 there is nowhere in any of the UIs that shows a second decimal point for the BPM.

At least when using the FLX-10 with MacOS the jog wheel displays work and as such show two decimal places for the BPM which is AWESOME.

But the opposite is true when using an iPad. So I have to make more beat-match corrections that I would otherwise need to….. why???

So for the love of GOD can we PLEASE have two decimal places for the BPM so that as DJs we can use the first-ever digital tool at our disposal properly? ie the BPM counter???

Getting to the point where I simply don’t understand why this feature request has been routinely ignored for over a year!!

@Slak_Jaw - can you have a word please? This one is getting boring now, thank you mate.

Thanks for the nudge @James_Gillies. I’ll bring this up with our devs again.

Thanks @Slak_Jaw - I found myself getting really frustrated the other night on the iPad+FLX10 as there was no two decimal Tempo counter to back-up the BPM counter (which is what you’d see on Pioneer players).

At least with a two decimal Tempo counter you can fine-tune your pitch control and see the adjustments, but when it was just a single decimal BPM counter available it was just frustrating.

You’re welcome @James_Gillies
