Hi @Ralfi711, @PKtheDJ is correct. The RANE Performer does not allow djay to send pre-cue audio to the headphone from the browser. This is a hardware limitation.

**Your question: Is there a work around for the DJay Pro Pre-Cue preview audio feature to the headphones on a Rane PERFORMER? It works with Pioneer controllers and it comes in handy…it seems like an easy fix… Also was this hardware limitation addressed with the Rane one mkii ? Need to know before I attempt to buy it.

My question is related to the previewing from the library. According to the manual, if I click on the “play” icon from the library the sound should be sent to my headphones:
What really happens is that the sound is also sent to the main output. Please notice that the pre-cue is properly sent and doesn’t affect the main output, but from the library view it’s not possible to use this feature.
Hi @DjLemart, this is a limitation of the hardware. This device is an External Mixer Mode device (audio is handled within the hardware not within the software). The Preview Player is a software function, and cannot be routed as you desire when using an external mixer device.
Also, please use search before creating new topics. I’ve merged your new one with this existing discussion. Thanks!
Opps I thought it did. But functions randomly and suns audio randomly too. Not a fix after all. Nothing wrong with the mixer but probably something to do with what’s already been discussed.
My Ted talk: I love this controller but returned it as I can’t pre-cue my tracks. The loss of that few seconds to load and then preview the track is a deal breaker for my brain.
Big brain: Is it possible for pre-cued tracks to come out their respective channels?
Search for a track for deck 2, use the encoder mapped function( shift/select - encoder) to pre-cue the track and it sends the audio to channel 2
So a software mapping function. Shift/Select Encoder on 1 one sends audio to channel 1, Shift/Select Encoder on deck 2 sends audio to channel 2.
Long story short: pre cue audio has the option to go to different channels per-mapping selection.
That’s what I’m doing now with my reloop rmx95, with the performer though that channel is used up for the instant stem separation channel function which awesome.
My pioneer ddj1000 allows for audio to be routed through headphone jack and I’ve grown so used to it that it is necessity at this point.
