Camelot Key Option

Hi @Sascha_Lassig,

I do get tracks with #m and #d.

Have you tried enabling the old key Format with major/minor and then enabling Open Key again?

Also, try refreshing the library.

Maybe… all these tracks are simply in minor keys?

They are essentially the same. Camelot is more widely recognized and utilized, but that doesn’t really matter because using either system frees you up from really having to look at the key wheel.

As this feature was added in a recent update to djay Pro AI for iOS (i.e., in the Advanced djay settings), this thread will be closed to free up the votes used here for other suggestions. Please keep voting on your favorites!

If you would like to continue the discussion about key formats or anything else djay- or DJ-related, please feel free to do so in the appropriate Forums category (e.g., Questions or General Discussion). Thanks to all of you for your continued feedback, suggestions, and votes!

It is unfortunate that the Camelot wheel being universal in most successful DJs as a resource for harmonic mixing, the application does not have any compatibility in its structure that should be standard compared to other DJ applications. Many use the Mixed in key application feature to simplify the configuration of the entire library and each song theme is set the CUE points and its keynote according to the international standard of the Camelot wheel to be able to perform harmonic mixing. They should be aligned with international standards. It is very sad that being an excellent application Djay pro AI is not aligned through this resource compared to the applications of the competition. Hopefully you will take this suggestion into account to carry out this incorporation in the following future versions
