Hi All,

I just picked up djay Pro today and it looks like it might not do what I need, but I figure I would confirm before I pursue a refund.

I am a DJ on Twitch and previously was using Virtual DJ for my streams. For music and music videos, it created a separate window from the main interface which you could easily capture in OBS and then stream just the video/visualizer. I see no option to pop out the video/visualizer from djay Pro, so when I capture, it gets the entire interface and not just the video/visualizer.

Is this a limitation or am I missing something? I looked at some other similar topics, but they didn’t really match what I’m doing. I also have a Windows 11 machine, but from what I can see, it doesn’y have feature parity with the MacOS version, so there doesn’t appear to be a video option at all.

You’re correct. The Windows version of djay Pro is behind the Mac version (and even smartphone/tablet versions), not just on the video side. Stem separation is restricted, there’s no tag editing - the list goes on.

Actually VDJ has streaming capabilities built right in. There’s no need to involve OBS at all. As far as I’m aware, it’s the only DJ software to have streaming onboard, not requiring any third party apps.
