Can I use a Xone 23 mixer?

YOUR QUESTION:

  1. I am not keen on the Pioneer type mixing decks. What I want is an old skool style mixer with no bells and whistles, just a quality feel to the cross faders and EQ I am happy using the interface on my Mac for everything else.

  2. Will the Xone 23 work so I can crossfade/eq on both decks? I would use a SSL2+ as my audio interface Also I want a mixer I can use with my 1 soon to be 2 turntables so I figure the 23 can be used for both .Thank you for looking

I don’t think your sound card will work as they have been discontinued and no longer have valid drivers.

If you got something like a Reloop Flux Go you can then use pretty much any mixer.

Thank you, I hadn’t appreciated the tone 23 is discontinued…so does the reload work with djay Pro ok ?

Sorry I need to be clearer, your first comment gives reference to an SSL2 sound card, which I assumed is ‘Serato Scratch Live’ or a Rane card. Those are discontinued.

The Xone 23 doesn’t have an audio interface, only the Xone 23c, if you have a 23c it’ll work.

Ahh apologies no the SSL2+ is my Solid State Audio Interface. It works with Djay Pro ok. I use it mostly for ripping vinyl but my Chat GPT friend said I could use it to connect the mixer to the Mac. Problem is Chat GPT is not always right…. So just doing a bit more research before investing in an Allen & Heath.

Just make sure you invest in a Xone 23c and you’ll have a proper interface for Djay.

There is a list of all compatible hardware for Djay, scroll to the bottom of this link.
