Thanks for continuing to push this suggestion @Austinjacobm94
Hey , me too I am also forced to use other softwares for this one crucial feature. Please bump it again.
Great suggestion. Maybe it should be merged with the already «beat/bar countdown to next cuepoint» suggestion. I posted some time ago.
Hey Team & community
On and off user of the plattform for 12 years here ![]()
I recently noticed that, when I want to mix two tracks at a specific point later in the track, I use the beat jump feature to count the phrases backwards to figure out the correct point to mix in.
This seems cumbersome for something that is pretty crucial for mixing in many styles.
Suggestion:
Have a settings toggle to have the minute indicators

turned into phrase indicators, maybe with two different shades for different phrase lengths (white markers (selectable between 64/32/16 beats), light grey markers (selectable between 64/32/16 beats).
I personally find the minute indicator in the track relatively useless (the only relevant info for me is the remaining track time, which is easily visible) so this would be a great, seemingly simple option to have.
Maybe the feature could also be smarter with intelligent phrase indicators that are only placed on significant changes in the track. Looking forward to some feedback!
Thanks for the suggestion @mindcontroller. Iāve merged it with this existing one as I think they are closely related. Please use the blue vote button at the top left of the page. Thanks!
Great suggestion. Tho i world still love a bar/beat countdown to next hot cue.
Hi all,
The only downside I see when using Djay Pro, which constantly makes me go back to Virtual DJ or Rekordbox, is the phrasing indication/orientation. You all know this is one of the most essential features when mixing. In Rekordbox, they have a phrase analysis and indicator on the song overview form (which is not always accurate/helpful). The best implementation is in Virtual DJ when in many of the skins you can activate an option to see beat and/or bars makers on the song progression waveform. It is extremely helpful to prepare your transition spot if the you havenāt prepared your song with hotcue (which is often the case when you fulfill reuquests).
Currently Djay Pro has marker for the minutes (I think), which TBH is not helpful for mixing.
Here is how the requested feature look in Virtual DJ (I have set it to place markers - white lines - each 32 beats, which is 4 bars).

YOUR SUGGESTION:
Hi @Biser_Borisov, thanks for the suggestion. Iāve merged it with this existing one. Please vote above. Thanks!
Iām extremely satisfied with the tool and would even be willing to pay more for features like this. It might be an idea to survey usersā willingness to pay for such add-ons in order to initiate or accelerate development.
Rekordbox feels terribly cluttered to me, but at the same time it takes a technologically more advanced approach in certain areas, such as phrase analysis. I understand that it costs X per year.
Youāre on a great path, and at the same time this is a feature that many users are asking for and might even be willing to invest more in.
Thanks for the additional feedback @SvenH
A short message to keep this topic alive, everybody should vote ![]()
Thanks for the nudge @Yan
Wow, it would be so cool to have a feature like that!
Thanks for the input @Polyura. Please remember to Vote above.
Bump, and voted.
For me, this would almost tip the scales in favour of primarily using DJayPro⦠I have another deal-breaking issue, but I donāt mean derail this thread.
