You can answer your own question by recording whilst using the mic, then listening back to the recording.
Well, believe it or not I’ve tried that and I don’t have any playback
It would be helpful if you could mention things like this in your original post, so that appropriate assistance can be given.
This from VirtualDJ’s setup guide:
“The Microphone Input is not part of the USB audio interface, therefore it can not be added to the Audio setup of VirtualDJ, neither can be controlled by the software or recorded”

Not necessarily. There are utils available that can route audio signals from place to place on the same computer i.e. Rogue Amoeba | Loopback: Cable-Free Audio Routing
A small portable external device is always handy though, should you need to record when playing on other equipment.
