Summary of the issue:
I am unable to switch into hardware mode on when connecting a Reloop Mixtour to an iPad Pro M4. The view changes but then the pop asking me to subscribe appears, and if I cancel that I am switched to Starter mode. As far as I know this the Mixtour is a device that can be used with Hardware Mode without needing a subscription.
The Mixtour uses a master/headphones audio config. i.e. it’s a MIDI controller that mixes using the software (internal mode). External mode is only for hardware mixers.
I’m not referring to external mixing mode, the hardware mode button appears and going into it removes some elements from the screen that don’t need to be there. The problem is I’m am being blocked by a subscription pop up, this was working fine before and only popped up when you tried to use a pro feature like neural mix.
Oh I got it (did some research) - it’s just a choice of view in djay Pro.
The Mixtour does not unlock everything free of charge. In fact I don’t think any controllers do. If you want to use every single feature of djay Pro then you have to pay a subscription.

How exactly are you connecting the hardware to your device?
Issue: on the Mac, “Hardware Mode” and full layouts are available… on the iPad, they are not. Both are signed in and show the MIDI controller.
The Hardware (as well as Pro modes) show as available, until selected. Then, I get a pop-up (only on iPad, not on the Mac) to “Unlock all Features” with subscription.
Again, everything is working on the MacBook… but does not work on the iPad.
Also… just tried plugging into my iPhone via USB-C… the Mixtrack Go won’t work at all… I get a pop-up that the device has been identified and to continue to set it up… but the app just bounces back to the “sign up for Pro” window.
You must be mistaken @skymakai. Hardware Mode is not available on macOS. This is an iOS only view mode. Also, Hardware Mode requires a Pro subscription to unlock. I suspect this is related to your licensing issue and the legacy upgrade. Please note that Hardware Mode is not part of the legacy upgrade unlock features:
Yes, it’s not “hardware mode” I’m seeing on MacOS… but I am seeing Pro layouts available, which I think is what should be working across every platform?
I do not see any of the Pro layouts available on either iOS platform, iOS or iPadOS.
I think I should? Especially since I have it on MacOS?
On iOS, 2 Deck mode is supported with the legacy upgrade, but not Hardware Mode.
At this point, I think it’s best to wait for our official support team to reply to your ticket via email so they can look into your existing license(s) in more detail.

Just to clarify, is “2 Deck Mode” now renamed to “Classic Mode”?
On iOS, we now have Hardware Mode (Pro), Starter, Automix, Classic, Pro (Pro), Looper (Pro), One Deck (Pro), 4 Decks (Pro), and Video (Pro).
So it seems “2 Deck” is now “Classic” but with limited customization and “Pro (pro)” is now the fully customizable 2 Deck?
Seems like at some point some of the customization of 2 Deck mode was removed and made into a Subscription feature.
That is correct. 2-Deck Mode is now Classic Mode.

It would definitely be good to clarify (for us legacy users) that the terms have changed. Maybe the original pages for the upgrades should be updated to show the verbiage.
