Can't connect DJControl Mix Ultra to Laptop

*YOUR QUESTION: Just got the Hercules DJControl Mix Ultra. Was super excited to connect it to either the Microsoft tablet I’ve been practicing on or my laptop. It refuses to connect to either one. The tablet can see it but won’t connect. Attempt to connect to my android phone, no issue at all. Connects immediately. Unfortunately a phone screen is awfully too small to see the waveforms along with other features available on the tablet not being on the phone. Anyway to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Attempted to upload a video of trying to attatch to rhe Microsoft Surface but new users can not upload videos.

Hi @AllDayAllNight, welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. I’ve updated your Community Privileges so you should be able to upload your video now.

Please note that to use this device with a computer, you must connect via USB cable not Bluetooth. Bluetooth connection is meant for iOS and Android devices.

Thank you so much for the reply. I was under the impression that the USB-C port was only for charging so I didn’t try that. Didn’t see anywhere in the manuals that it could be directly connected. I’ll give that a try!

You’re welcome @AllDayAllNight. If it’s not mentioned in the DJControl Mix Ultra Manual, it is mentioned in their Support FAQs.

IT WORKED!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m so happy :blush:

For anyone checking this out in the future having the same problem:

  1. You must use the USB cable that came with the Hercules DJControl Mix Ultra, not just any USB cable that you may have.
  2. Your compurter will say there is no driver working to use the deck, that it will not work. This is not a problem. Just open djay software and start using it.
