Can't use external sound card and headphones at the same time, DJAY 2 on Ipad

When I use an external sound card to DJAY 2 on Ipad it works fine. Sound comes out as it should. But! When I then connect my headphones for pre-cueing, it turns off the sound for the external sound card. It is like the headphones switch of the main sound. So headphones and external sound card can’t be used at the same time. No way to pre-cue then.

This problem came with iOS8. Seems to be an Apple issue.
Algoriddim are very well aware of the problem but doesn’t seem very active in finding a solution anymore.
