About the Crossfader FX and Neural MIX Toggle Switches
Once the Neural MIX-EQ toggle is turned ON, turning Crossfader FX ON or OFF will toggle Neural Mix ON or OFF.
Neural Mix will automatically be turned ON when using EQ mode. It cannot be left OFF.
Software Version djay Pro v5.6.1
OS Windows 11
The issue is reproducible in standalone software mode, ruling out hardware-specific MIDI ghosting or mapping conflicts.
What I’m trying to say is:
I want to turn off CFX and use only the EQ, but it automatically switches to Neural Mix mode.
I’d like to be able to manually control it on/off.
Every time I turn Nmix off, it rises again like a phoenix. This is annoying.

A) SUMMARY OF ISSUE:
- EQ setting is being change by CFX
B) DETAILED STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- change EQ to Neural Mix, choose EQ in Crossfader Fx
C) EXPECTED RESULTS:
Neural Mix setting to remain
D) ACTUAL RESULTS:
- Neural Mix is being changed back to EQ
Hi @Kevnice, thanks for the details about the issue and your setup . This is expected behaviour when using the CFX EQ option. CFX requires use of the normal EQs with this option selected so it is expected that it will switch from NM EQ to normal EQ.

Thanks for the reply… I know EQ CFX requires the use of the normal EQ’s, but the point I’m trying to make, EQ CFX still work as intended even when changed to NM EQ. which allows the use of both the EQ CFX and NM EQ at the same time. to me this is kinda redundant. when it automatically switches to Normal EQ you as a user don’t have much control over the EQ’s anyway because the crossfader is making those changes already. it’s very annoying having to change it manual every time
You’re welcome. Thanks for the input @Kevnice. So, are you wanting the EQs to switch back to NM EQs after the completion of the CFX EQ transition?
I actually want it to stay on which ever settings I set it to, regardless of which CFX effect I’m using, if that make sense.
I see. Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, that would lead to unexpected behaviour for most users who are expecting the CFX EQ transition to use normal EQs instead of NM EQs. However, I will share your comments with the devs for consideration. Thanks!
Thanks for video @megamema. This clarifies the issue and I was able to reproduce this on iOS, macOS and Windows.
@Kevnice, sorry if I didn’t understand what you were experiencing/explaining before, but the video above probably illustrates the unexpected enabling/disabling of Neural Mix EQ and Normal EQ you were trying to describe.
I will share this with our engineering team and report back when I have more news. Thanks!
