Changes to Noise Sweep FX

Please make the Noise Sweep effect in djay independent of the audio signal.

  1. On most club mixers, the Noise effect works even when there is no audio playing on the channel.
  2. This allows you to build tension during very quiet build-ups or breakdowns. James Hype style.
  3. The current implementation of the Noise Sweep causes the effect to be very quiet during the quiet parts of the track and louder during the normal parts.

Hey everyone, any updates on this? Or any way to achieve this? It would be nice to have a noise effect as suggested.

Hi @dj_taken, thanks for pushing this suggestion. We don’t have any news to share about this feature, but please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature.

As a workaround in the meantime, you can try looping a white noise audio sample on a spare deck and applying a Filter to it. It’s not ideal, but I have achieve good results using this technique. I hope that helps!
