Changing pitch slider results in wave animation lag

Changing pitch slider (iPhone 5, iOS 9, Reloop Beatpad 2) results in wave animation lag, but luckily sound goes without interruptions. It a only minor lug I have noticed, and I really appreciate your decision to prioritize sound over picture.

Do the waveforms completley stop working for a certain time or do they only like stretch and compress?
