Changing Playlists & Search Jumping to top of Playlist

I was also able to repro Djay jumping back to the top of a sorted playlist after searching (I typically sort by BPM). Thankfully the CTRL/CMD+L shortcut gets me back in the ballpark so I’m not having to scroll through a large chunk of the playlist.

Hmm, this problem seems to have reappeared.
The behaviour has gone back to how it was before.
I can’t pinpoint when it happened, but it definitely was happening with 5.3.2 and the new 5.3.3 has not fixed it for me.

Anyone else found that playlists are jumping back to the top when you return to them?

2021 MacBook M1 Pro
MacOS Sonoma 14.7.6
DJay Pro version 5.3.3

I made the video with no hardware attached. Hardware doesn’t seem to make any difference to this behaviour as it’s purely a software thing.

Really interesting to see this thread, I posted about this issue months ago but in the bug report forum.
It’s actually a popular request just spread across a few threads because of wording I guess.
Today I’m happy to see I’m not the alone who has a massive issue with this.
I’m on latest iPad and hope the next updates address fundamental issues with playlist navigation.

DJP sometimes does massive tech forward updates without taking care of the fundamental needs of working Dj’s, it’s a bit insulting honestly we put ourselves at risk supporting new technologies such as DJP.

Spotify integration is nice but I don’t use it, it’s niche, streaming isn’t suitable for all Dj’s where as playlist navigation and library management is a fundamental need for all Dj’s in the field please take it seriously.
Happy holidays guys hope the Dj’s are getting enough rest.
