I want to use djay pro to automatically play video clips in auto mode / shuffle and to also play mp3s with no visuals but every time it plays a new song it keeps using the same video loop from the library it would be so much better if it swapped the video loops each time also it would be good to add a function where adds for the bar or club come up for 10 seconds at the beginning of the song so djay pro could be used like an automatic juke box system these would be great improvements for it to be used during the day at the club
Hey @Aaron_Brookes,

Iâd like to point out that you can manually select one of our visualizers from this drop-down menu. You can also turn the visualizer ON/OFF with the toggle to the top right:

There is currently no way to automate this, however, weâll discuss this topic internally.
For the announcement, I think that editing your Sampler would solve this. Just set up a couple of ads for your club in the sampler. Learn how to do so here:

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi G, like I mentioned I would like to see these functions to djay pro could be used as a fully automatic jukebox to be used in venues to stream video music all day to show adds and promos and change visuals for mp3s without playing the same visual clip every time.
Any way I have another question for yoyour system and I thought I could use an external hub to use a hdmi and extra ssd with the buddy and iPad but it wonât work that way do you know any tricks to get around this ?
Regards Aaron

Nowadays, play DJ with an LED screen in the background is becoming very common. And having the logo appear is already possible with djaypro. However, the animations need to be changed manually and this is a hassle. It would be interesting to be able to activate a âshuffle modeâ

Hi @brunolima, Iâve reopened this topic for you and merged your new one with it. Thanks for the additional input. Please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page. Thanks!
Thanks @Slak_Jaw
When this request was made back then, it didnât make much sense at the time, but today, when itâs become common to have LED screens at parties and events, having this feature and even focusing on new features focused on video would be very interesting and a big differentiator for you in relation to the competition.
BR,
Youâre welcome @brunolima. Thanks for the additional input an feedback.
I just did an event with videos and I think this feature would be very helpful to have. Please consider it in a future update.
Thanks for the feedback @DJ_BryanC2
In my opinion, the video mixer as itâs currently implemented is completely useless. Iâm seriously at a loss as to why they implemented this the way they did.
Iâm already busy picking tracks, beat matching, working the eq and fending off requests. I donât have the time to also futz with the video. Think about it for a hot second â if you want to make an impact, have a hero moment or something like that, you would be wanting to swap video at the same moment as a drop. You cannot do this very basic thing using DJay Proâs video mixer implementation (you might be able to if you have midi bindings but you would have to manually cue it up during the set, another major problem). Problem is twofold:
- I have to change DJay to a completely different UI mode to do this.
- I canât change the video at the same moment.
This isnât standalone video software. We donât have an extra VJ operating the video for us like we would with a Resolume setup. So why it is even here without any kind of automation is totally baffling.
We need the ability to place video mix cues in our tracks to define both the transition type/length and the video played and (possibly) the videoâs target bpm (for time scaling). That would make this a really great feature that few other DJ software does AND would make the video mixer UI mode genuinely useful as opposed to a worthless boondoggle (no offense).
Genuine question @Slak_Jaw what were they thinking doing this without automation? I canât think of a use case for this screen as it is. How was this intended to be used?
Hi @linker_error, thanks for the detailed input. Iâm not 100% sure as Iâm not a developer, but I suspect that the Video Mode was intended to be used on its own for VDJs and not as a visualizer for regular DJâs. Either way, I have passed your comments onto our devs for consideration.
I agree with @Slak_Jaw about video mode - itâs for djâs playing MP4âs onto a secondary display - and yup, it works really good. In case a track is audio-only, the selected visualizer kicks in automatically (in some cases - as i have had a blank screen on some days, still troubleshooting).
Now your request for the inbuilt visualizer to have some kind of shuffling methods or react to samplers, cues, etc totally makes sense too. Personally I would love it the change with every next track loaded (a basic function), or give the open for âshuffle allâ and then later if it doesnât make the app way too heavy they can implement the rest of the request.
