Depending on the type and frequency of use, the database where playlists, track formations, cue points and similar items are saved will grow steadily. Over time, many data records accumulate that no longer need to be saved because the tracks or playlists are no longer needed and are no longer saved in the program. Is there an option to clean up this database somehow?
Hi @Chris_R, good question! I’ve noticed that my djayMediaLibrary is well over 500MB after years of use. Let me check with the dev team and see…
@Chris_R, I’ve been discussing this with engineering. They asked if you could please check your iCloud sync status in djay Settings>Advanced. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback. iCloud Sync is active and is always performed.
Any update on this topic?
My Database has grown over the years to 3 GB.
I use only local mp3 files. No streaming. No iCloud sync.
Is there any procedure to erase orphaned entries in the database for which the mp3 file does not exist and shrink the database?
This topic is perfect for explaining what to do to clean up…
But it has an open end now.
Hi @DJ_Big_Blender, yes, the team is still working on this. I have sent them a reminder to review this again after the holidays. Thanks for the nudge!
