Cloud hosted library service

I’m aware of the https://community.algoriddim.com/t/syncing-my-collection-playlists-between-devices feature request, but here I’m suggesting a different thing - djay Cloud Library Service.

points that come to my mind include:

  • sync between devices with online & offline mode
  • import/export/ of Playlist to/from Stream Platforms (Sndiiz like). Spotify Playlists would be SUPER WELCOME.
  • migrating song’s source from streaming platforms to Local files where present, would be great too.
  • import/export from/to Traktor / Serato / VirtualDjay / Rekordbox. Playlists, Crates, Tags, metadata, cue points, etc.
  • CSV import too, please
  • feature parity of the library view on iOS & Desktop, so we can see the Groups, Color tags, etc.
  • Tracks on iCloud (possibly others too), as the “Offline” mode is relatively robust across MacOS & iOS.

At where I am:
I pay for Tidal as it can work with NM. I’m likely to keep a subscription for it.
I pay for Apple Music because it can manage playlists with local files and make them available in djay. But I don’t really like it, and I don’t to pay for Apple Music and Tidal for sure.
I’m paying for Sportify Family because they have great library of songs and have great playlist management. It’s common across friends and family too, so I will likely keep paying for Spotify …
I pay a Sndiiz subscription to migrate playlists across Spotify/Tidal/Apple/SoundCloud

If djay has Cloud Library, I would gladly pay for the playlist management and get rid of Apple Music. And if it can migrate playlists across streaming platforms, I’ll happily pay extra for it, and get rid of Sndiiz. IMO, such a powerful playlist management can justify double and even triple the current price of the app.

Also, I can envision many DJs subscribing to such a Cloud Library Management services, especially if that will allow them to keep their libraries in sync between the major DJ & Streaming platforms. I think this would be a good direction.

It would be an improvement if you could integrate a cloud service of your choice and stream the music from there, as is the case with Tidal, for example. The tracks are temporarily loaded there and then deleted again. It would be nice if this could also work with cloud services, but I can’t say whether Algoriddim makes it that easy or whether it is limited by the cloud providers for certain reasons.

Thanks for the suggestion @Kaloyan! Good idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration.
