Colour tags missing in the new "External Apps" (Solved by Slak_Jaw)

  • Device model Apple MacBook Pro 16" 2019 A2141 | i9-9880H 2.3GHz 64GB RAM 1TB SSD
  • Using a 2TB portable external drive (Not SSD) for all music (over 70k mp3 and mp4 files)
  • Version of operating system *Sequoia 15.6.1
  • Version of djay *5.4.2
  • Hardware/controllers used *DDJ SX2
  • (For this issue I was offline, controller was not plugged in)
  • (This issue also occurs with my DJ controller plugged in)

“External Apps” is missing the colour tags option in the, right click drop down menu,

“My Files” Has the colour tags option and it works as normal,
details in picture below.

Hi @eecy_cee, please try the following.

  1. First add the “Color” column to the library by R-Clicking on the Library Header and selecting “Color” from the menu.
  2. Now in the Color column try Double-Clicking beside the track you want to add the color tag to and the color menu should pop-up.

I got it working Slak_Jaw

I have to double click for it to work,

In “my files” you right click and the colours are in the drop down menu, but its different to “External apps”
