YOUR QUESTION:

Hello,

I am wondering is it possible to reconfigure the beat jump pads on a DDJ 400 for Djay Pro? Currently the pads are setup to be

1 beat backwards | 1 beat forwards | 2 beats backwards | 2 beats forwards

4 beats backwards | 4 beats forwards | 8 beats backwards | 8 beats forwards

Whereas I would like them to be

4 beat backwards | 4 beat forwards | 8 beats backwards | 8 beats forwards

16 beats backwards | 16 beats forwards | 32 beats backwards | 32 beats forwards

Is this possible at all? I have tried looking into MIDI configuration, but when I changed the action of one of the controls, it didn’t follow through when DJing.

Any help appreciated!

Hi @aidanstr, yes this is definitely possible by creating an edit of the (built-in) MIDI Mapping. Please refer to the linked topic below for how to use the MIDI Learn tool in djay. Please let me know if you have additional questions after reviewing this and I’ll be happy to help further.

Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
