Your question:

Hello everyone,

What cables are required to connect Mixtour pro to an external mixer (analog or digital):

RCA to TS
RCA to TRS
RCA to XLR

Sorry if I missed any previous discussions. Thank you!

Hi @DJ_Faisal, it really depends what input type(s) the mixer has. Many have RCA inputs so an RCA-RCA cable usually works. I normally just carry RCA-RCA cables and some XLR and TS adapters just in case.

Thanks for sharing. I could not find RCA to TRS. I guess RCA-TS will work fine or XLR.

You’re welcome @DJ_Faisal TRS is a stereo connector. If using RCA you want TS on the other end.

I connect for example left to channel one and right to channel two of the external mixer from dj controller. Sounds better that way.

Check out the following link:

You only really need balanced cables if you are doing long cable runs. If your cable is less than 2m (6’), unbalanced is fine. Either way, the Mixtour Pro doesn’t have balanced connections so you’re restricted to unbalanced anyway. Putting an XLR connector on the other end of an RCA cable doesn’t make it a balanced cable.

Yes you are correct that’s what I was researching. Have not used RCA since the CD days.

That’s why I suggested the adapter route. Then you are covered in case the mixer doesn’t have RCA inputs.

In my case cables are fine as I am mobile dj and carry my own equipment. But I will also keep the adapters just in case.. thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome @DJ_Faisal. Happy to help!
