Connection between Mixed in Key and djay

I made this video to share a killer workaround for getting your music and data from Mixed In Key 11 straight into djay Pro, since there isn’t a direct, built-in way to do it right now. In the tutorial, I’ll walk you step-by-step through analyzing your tracks, using a Rekordbox XML file as a bridge, and leveraging the “One Library” USB feature to move everything over smoothly. If you’re a djay Pro user, you definitely want to check this out—it’s a foolproof way to keep all your cue points, energy levels, and metadata intact. Following this guide means you’ll never have to waste time manually setting your hot cues twice, so you can dive right into mixing with perfectly optimized tracks!

hey great job on the video! thanks for making it

i feel like this is mostly for rekordbox people making the move to djay pro though isn’t it? cuz i don’t know exactly when it changed, but i’ve found that as long as i analyze the tracks in mixed in key first, the hot cues and comments (where i have the key and energy saved) show up in djay pro without issue.

though i do remember it wasn’t always this way.

am i missing something? or would this method actually solve needing to put the key in the comments instead of having djay just read the key that MIK sets?

either way good video, woulda never guessed it was your first time, you’re a natural!

so yes, for most part it works, but if you have a flx10 like me or you like your hotcues to look different colors this method works great! otherwise (at least for me) they come to djay pro all in green. But thank you for the feedback!! loving being part of the djay forum community!

OHHHH it adjusts the hot cues to use the energy colors!!!

i already have my hot cue button colors matching the defaults on screen, but i could see how auto adjusting to energy colors would be way better

Good idea with the hot cue colors @Space_Cadets. I’ve never thought to color code them for energy level.
