Should Algorridim DJ Pro Control vinyl work with Serato ? Not the Neural mix tracks just the standard track.
I’ve tried it and I’m getting no signal read out in Serato’s DVS oscilloscope, so was wondering if it was something I’ve set up incorrectly or if it is just completely incompatible.
Hi @leeiom, I’m not a Serato DVS user so I could be wrong, but I think Serato only works with its own control vinyl.
Turns out it does work in a basic fashion. The DVS of both DJ Pro and Serato run off a 1Khz signal.
The issue was my antique laptop. Tried it on a newer laptop and it worked, I think there is a known serato issue with older windows laptops, something to do with the microphone.
I couldn’t get the track position to work so I’m guessing they use different information on the vinyl pressings to denote needle placement position.
I’m still using DJ Pro, I was just curious as I have bought a reloop flux and it comes with a Serato Pro and DVS unlock.
