I’m using (amongst other hardware) the Mixtour. It works pretty good, but it would be even better if the gain would use soft takeover just like the filter knobs.
Right now when using auto gain (with Spotify) the gain level jumps the moment I move the gain on the controller as the app and controller knobs sit at a different value most of the time.
Thanks for the reply, but this does not solve the issue.
After loading a track with auto gain turned on the gain level is calculated and set by the app (to e.g. -2). The problem is that the physical gain knob on the controller might be in a very different position (e.g. +2).
Turning the knob on the Mixtour now makes the volume jump +4dB at first.
Soft takeover would solve this as the gain would only change after the physical knob gets to the -2dB position. The filter knobs have this sort of behavior as turning them is ignored by the software until you hit the middle position.
Auto gain is a very useful feature when using Spotify, but changing the gain level when the track is playing is not possible because of the current implementation.
thank you for your post and your feedback. Please disable the Reset EQ setting in the General settings Tab so the Gain won’t be set to 0 after loading a new track.
