I have a DJay Pro account and am logged in on iPhone, iPad and Windows PC. I would like for my MIDI controller custom mappings to synchronize across these devices – ideally through my DJay Pro account. This doesn’t seem to be implemented currently.
Could anyone confirm if this functionality is implemented already and I’m not accessing it properly? Otherwise, shall I add the ‘Suggestions’ label here?
Hi @obomoboe, welcome to the Community! There is currently no automatic process for this for custom MIDI mappings. You can however achieve this by manually copying your custom mappings from one device to another.
Thanks for the prompt reply @Slak_Jaw. I can see some information around the web about how to copy MIDI mapping config files on Windows and MacOS where it’s possible to accsss the DJay Pro settings files through the file system. I can’t find any information on importing/exporting these configs to/from iOS. If this is possible, could you please point me to instructions?
Man thanks!
You’re welcome @obomoboe, the MIDI mappings on iOS are stored in the djay folder.
- You can access these using the Files App on your iOS device.
- Simply open the app and navigate to On My iPhone/iPad>djay and you will see all of your MIDI mappings in the main folder.
- You can either copy these to your iCloud or something like Dropbox or Google drive.
- You could also connect a supported USB drive to your device and copy to that.
- Then you simple save it in the folder with the MIDI mappings on your other device.
Please let me know if that helps or if you need anything else.
Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
