Crossfader auto-cut / auto-scratch MIDI Mapping

YOUR SUGGESTION:

  1. In mapping a controller when used to use a keyboard there was a cut crossfader button and a fast cutting button. Could these be added to map to a controller? I am using the RS1 and i usually customize the button i dont use as much, thank you

Hi @Dj_Los_Inthemix,

  1. On iOS you can achieve the auto-cut / auto-scratch by touching 2 fingers on the waveform and moving them back and forth.
  2. On macOS holding the G key on the keyboard performs auto-cut and holding the F key performs a faster auto-cut.
  3. On controllers where this is supported, if you MIDI map a button with Target→General and Action→Controller Shift Key, then holding this button while moving jogwheel should auto-cut.
  4. In your case, with the RS1, this may not won’t work because it is an External Mixer Mode device. Please give these a try and let me know though.
