Hey,
So i want to ask a question regarding the Cross Fader bar at the bottom.
I want to know if it possible to disable the automatic feature that when i load a song the cross fader will just click to that side instead of staying in the middle, for what i use it for it can be pretty annoying when you load a song on the right side and the cross fader automatically goes to that side and when i press play on the left side i have to then remember to move the cross fader back to the center.
Please let me know if this is possible
Hi @byron.allen121, welcome to the Community! Please try disabling Crossfader FX in the CFX menu.
Hey, i just tried this and it had no affect
Hmmm… I thought for sure that was it. @byron.allen121 can you please try to capture a short video of the issue, upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
Hey
Here is a dropbox link to a video i did
as you can see when i load it in it goes to the side its been loaded to, and i then have to manually put it back to the center

Thanks for the video @byron.allen121. This is very helpful. Please confirm that this only happens the first time you load a song when opening djay and no songs are currently loaded to any decks. Or does this continuing happening after you readjust the crossfader the first time?
Hey
It only happens once when the app starts up the first time or gets reloaded

Thanks for confirming @byron.allen121. I checked with engineering and this expected behaviour when using djay without a DJ controller connected. This was enabled to avoid (common) situations on launch where auto play is on you load two tracks and end up with a very unintended mashup. They are looking into options for adjusting this behaviour. I’ll report back when I have more news. Thanks!
Thank you very much, Its not an issue per say and i can understand the reason behind it haha, we have only recently updated from using the old Djay 2 app on our old ipad air 1st gen to now Djay 3 on the ipad 9th gen and was shocked at some of the features that are now gone haha, most we can live without but the cross fader thing can be an annoyance but something we can manage around
You’re welcome @byron.allen121. Thanks for the additional info.
