This is the reply I had which helped.
If you’re on a Mac/PC, please can you try clicking on “Show mixer controls” icon on the top right of the window bar? It looks like a small mixer 
and then click on the dropdown that shows up beside “EXTERNAL MIXER” in the center of your screen to bring out the Crossfader FX
