Cue and Play button random delay

Hi everyone,

I hope this isn’t a duplicate post.

I’m having an issue with my FLX4 that seems to happen quite often. Sometimes, after loading a track, the Cue and Play buttons respond with a noticeable delay. The only way I’ve found to fix it is to eject the track and load it again. Usually, on the second or third attempt, everything works normally.

The issue happens randomly, and I’ve experienced it on a MacBook Air M1, MacBook Air M5, and iPad, all fully updated to the latest operating system.

One more thing: when this happens, the Hot Cue buttons work normally. The problem only affects the Cue and Play buttons.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?

  1. Can you please share your actual OS version #s?
  2. Please also share your djay version #s
  3. How exactly are you connecting the FLX4 to your devices?
    A. Bluetooth or wired connection?
    B. Any USB adapters or hubs?
    C. Have you tried a different USB cable?
  4. Since this sounds repeatable, can you please capture and share a short screen recording of the issue to help clarify what’s happening? Thanks!

Both mac runs 26.5.2

Ipad runs 26.5.2

Djay is version 5.6.7

I’ve tried 2 different cables but it still happens. Please note that i don’t see such problem in reckordbox

About the video, i will film as soon as i will experience the issue again
