Cue point LED auto-coloring based on a Wildcard!?

This suggestion is based upon a Cuepoint being named with a wildcard + any letter/number or name

additionally the user would be required to establish the colouring based on any midi value for the necessary LED feedback to occur

example:
cuepoint name “ch” = chorus… which corresponds to the cuepoint midi feedback value of x
cuepoint name “lp” = loop… which corresponds to the cuepoint midi feedback value of x
cuepoint name “$” = drop… which corresponds …
etc etc

The user sets “ALL” the necessary midi feedback values based on the wildcard
(these feedback values will be different for different controllers)

upon loading a Track… Djpro looks at the cue point names based on the user settings & sets the LED feedback

currently… we can set the LED midi feedback based on a fixed position? but the LED’s do not change dynamically when track changes occur?? please correct me if wrong in this respect

edit: additionally add a “cycle” button(while cuepoint is held down), for the LED colour implementation, once the Wildcard name & midi-feedback values are set… this will reduce any additional keyboard interaction

Thanks for the suggestion @7nz! Good idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration. In the meantime, please use the blue Vote button at the top left of this page so we can gauge user demand for this feature. Thanks!

i think to refine this auto coloring…
if for example …names have already been added

using the cuepoint button + cycle colour button… adds the prefix to the existing name
the Prefix names therefore should be preferably single symbols… to not messup the users cuepoint names?? just a added thought

Thanks for the additional ideas @7nz
