If your cue point name begins with < or > and you go to re-edit the name, the < and > are not included in the text field. Other puncuation marks show up correctly. (At least !, & and #.)
@kokernutz, I tested this myself and can confirm that the < or > characters do not show up in the text edit field, but they do show up above the cue point in the UI. I have reported this to the dev team for review. Thanks!
