Device model (e.g. 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen): M1 Pro MacBook Pro
Version of operating system (e.g. macOS 14.4.1): Sequoia 15.3.1
Version of djay (e.g. 5.1.2): 5.2.9
Hardware/controllers used (e.g. Reloop Mixon 8 Pro): Pioneer DDJ FLX-4
Summary of the issue:
I have a track that is 160bpm. Whenever I drag it into DJay or load it from the playlist I put it in in my Apple Music library, it reads it as 140bpm. I keep changing it in the “Edit BPM” pane in the straight BPM section to 160, but it immediately changes back to 140, or whatever it thinks is right.
How to reproduce the issue:
Reproducing it may be hard as it requires you to find a track that it is analyzing wrong. The one I am using is currently unreleased. I have a video of the issue occurring that I can send if necessary.
Hi @c20c20, thanks for the details about your setup and the issue. Yes, please share your video by uploading it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the video here? Thanks!
Thanks for the video @c20c20 - this is very helpful. I have not been able to replicate this, so I’m going to pass it onto our engineering team for review. I’ll report back when I have news.
Thank you! If you’d like, I can private message you the link to the song. I can’t share it here publicly as it’s an edit of a friend’s unreleased song. Maybe you’ll be able to replicate it that way.
Sounds good @c20c20. Yes, please upload it to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the song in a DM to me. Thanks!
