Just received a FLX10 and tried it with Djay on Mac. It works quite well, however a few small bugs. the shift-cue shortcut doesn’t seem to indicate on the unit if neural mix is enabled. In Serato and rekordbox, the cue button flashes to let you know it’s in neural mix mode. In djay, it appropriately switches to stems but doesn’t let you know. Hopefully djay can add the flashing CUE to let us know that stems are being controlled, not EQ.
Other minor quirks - sound color knobs controls filter even when the button isn’t pressed.
Hi again @djchase, I spoke with engineering and unfortunately this is not possible. The LED does not react to MIDI Out (even though it is indicated in the specification).
Ah that’s a shame, I saw this and thought the same thing. Thankfully you can always glance at the screen to confirm, but it’s an “EQ” vs “N” on a small button. I wonder if something else could be done to make it clearer?
To @djchase’s point, this is how it functions in both Rekordbox and Serato (not sure how they do it though?!)
Serato/Rekordbox has HID control (vs low level midi implimentation) so they have much more granular control over everthing (like waveforms on jogs, etc).
