Dear Djay I'm gearless

My current gears:

  • Traktor: S4 MK3, S5, S8, D2, Z2, X1 MK3
  • Pioneer DJ: DDJ 1000, FLX4
  • Hercules: P32

Of these, the only controller that works with DJay is the FLX4, and it’s not really professional.
I’d like to completely switch to DJay, but my main obstacle is finding proper pro gear with full support for DJay, while factoring in build quality, availability, mobility, sound quality, layout, size, and price.

I’ve gone through the full list of Djay supported hardware, and these are the options:

Expensive options I’m considering, but not keen to go for

  • Rane Performer

  • DDJ FLX 10

  • DDJ Rev 7

  • Rane One MK2

  • DJM S7

  • Rane Seventy
(These mixers would still need a compatible pairing)

Excluded (for various reasons):

  • Traktor S3
  • Numark NS4FX
  • Reloop Mixon 8 Pro
  • Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7
  • Denon DJ MC7000
  • Standalones (unless one day Djay made it’s own)

And on top of that, 2025 has been a quiet year for new DJ gear, So despite subscribing to DJay for many years, I still can’t make the switch because of this gear‑limitation.

My wishlist of gear I’d love djay to support:

Unlikely to happen (but wishful):

  • Traktor S5
  • Traktor S8
  • Traktor D2
  • Traktor S4 MK3

Please make this happen:

  • Roland DJ‑707M
  • Allen & Heath Xone 24C + Traktor X1 MK3 (This would be killer)

Fellow DJs, what are your gear suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback @hardbea7. I’ve personally used the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro and Denon Prime 4 with djay and both work great with djay. Most of the other “expensive” options you’ve listed are pretty popular with our community users so I’m sure you’ll be able to find some feedback on them here.

As for your other hardware suggestions, I believe most of these have been suggested in the community before so you should be able to go upvote them to indicate your support for them with our dev team. Thanks!

My current setup is a Reloop Mixtour Pro with two Denon Prime LC6000’s. This might be my favorite setup yet for djay. Definitely worth considering if you can still find a pair for LC6000’s.
