Denon Prime 4 Plus And Djay.

Hello, I’m Iulian (Dj Gun), I’m from Romania and I’m joining you after more than 10 years of Traktor. What Djay offers at the software level is beyond any current program, as well as designs, options, settings.

There are a few things I would like to discuss:

  • Development on the screen side and program compatibility with third-party consoles.
  • If possible, the browser with the playlists should not be reset every time. it is annoying to always take 273 folders in a row.
  • To be able to put from the album cover program.
  • If something can be done with the historical import from traktor in djay it would be ideal. or if there is already a way, maybe you can guide me, I kept looking but I couldn’t find anything definite.
  • Why on deck 2 sometimes I get a signal on the screen, I can see the number of loops, even imagine the album cover, and on deck 1 nothing?
  • The compatibility between djay and denon prime 4 plus is 95%. You can mapping as you like.

Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

First of all, please use Search before creating new topics as I think some items in your list are already being discussed in other topics. Also, normally it is best to create a single suggestion topic for each item so these can be discussed, voted on and tracked independently.

  1. Screens: Please note that the hardware manufacturer needs to unlock access to their screens before we can add support for them in djay. We have reached out to the manufacturers requesting this, but it will help to expedite the process if djay users could also contact the manufacturers and express their interest in having screens unlocked for Algoriddim djay. Every voice helps. Thanks for your support!
  2. Browser Playlists: please create a new topic for this and clarify with some screenshots or a short video of the issue. Then upload the video to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, and share a link to the video here.
  3. Album Cover: please create a new topic for this and clarify with some screenshots or a short video of the issue.
  4. Traktor Import: again please clarify. Do you want to import your Traktor playlists and hot cues/loops?
  5. Deck 2 issue: please create a new topic for this and clarify with some screenshots or a short video of the issue.
  6. Prime 4+: please create a new topic for this and elaborate on what is missing.

I am writing to express my gratitude for your response. Additionally, I extend my apologies for any shortcomings in my English.I will ensure that the topics already opened are addressed in a timely and accurate manner on the forum.

1.Screens: Upon reviewing the message I had sent to my colleagues at Denon, I proceeded to send several follow-up emails in the hope of receiving a favourable response.
2. Browser Playlist: As for the browser’s playlist, my preference would be for it to remain fixed in the same position when the program is closed. This would eliminate the need to once again traverse the entire folder structure to get to folder X. (Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. I have a total of 60,000 pieces from which to select.) For more information on the differences between Traktor and DJay, please see the link below.
3. Browse Option: I made an error when entering the album cover. I would like to request the following additional options to be available in the browser: file name, without having to have the browser loaded with title and artist. Please refer to the video link for further details.And also in relation to the browser options, I want the tracks in the history to be numbered as they were mixed: the first track, the second track, the third track… one hundred and thirty.
4. Traktor Import: I would like to import all of the essential data from Traktor, including the history of hotcues and loops. I would be grateful if you could provide me with details on how I can import the playlist history.
5. Prime 4+: I must advise you that creating a new one would be an unproductive use of time and resources. The issue lies with the screen. Otherwise, your performance is exemplary.
