Difficulty keeping Spin/djay/macbook pro talking to each other

Vestax Spin/Djay/Macbook Pro - I can only get Djay to recognize the Spin after a restart and it takes several tries at that. It works fine for about 10 minutes when connected, then the lights start flickering and the sound cuts out, and within a minute or so, the Spin is disconnected. Very frustrating. I thought that it might have been the usb cable, so I went and purchased a Monster USB cable…$30. No improvements were experienced.

Any suggestions?

  • Are you using an external USB hub?
  • Have you tried using a different USB port?

This honestly sounds like a hardware issue. I recommend contacting Vestax support about this as well.
