Disable BPM Analyze on Load?

Hey everyone,
I used the search function but didn’t quite find something for my problem.

I want to make the switch to algoriddim djay pro from serato dJ pro. I used it for years and I have a big library. The BPM, the grids, the hotcues, everything is right.
I used algoriddim and it shows my Serato Library, but I noticed it changes the bpm when I load a track on one of the decks. Also when I fully switch to algoriddim I don’t want to go to Serato add a song, edit the grid, maybe the bpm if it’s wrong and then open up algoriddim djay pro to dj.
If I switch I solely use algoriddim.

So I used lexicon to export my serato library and imported it into algoriddim. In the library everything seems fine, the bpm are the same for example. But if I load a track on one of the decks it stills re-analyzes the track and changes the bpm of the track which is also noticable in the library.
I don’t need the analyze feature for my existing songs especially when they already have a bpm which is written in the library tab for the bpm.
Otherwise I need to load every song, check the bpm if it fits or need to be double or halved for example, if the grid fits, etc. This is a lot of work especially when it already has be done to my likings via serato dj pro.

So what can I do? What would be a solution?

It analyses by default. Sorry. At worst it could double or halve the bpm but mostly it’s correct grid. Have u noted the final bpm to be off? I do minimal adjustments on my djay grid mostly setting the downbeat correct. Quite few times the beat is not spot dead-on beat and i adjust manually (2-3% of entire library). For songs with variable bpm djay is way better that serato in gridding - of you dislike that feature turn it off from variable bpm to straight bpm

For the songs I tested it only halved it as well l but this is fixable by knowing in which range the songs are usually are and putting it to the desire range in the analyze section.
I know that djay pro is way better than serato when it comes to analyzing still I need to trust it do everything right.
Worst case is I play a gig and the grid and or bpm is messed up. Because the bpm and grid in serato is fine because I manually adjusted it when needed it would be easier when algoriddim simply takes it over, especially when I convert it via lexicon and it the library of algoriddim the bpm is set. If it’s set there it shouldn’t change by loading in.
I guess I need to trust the detection of algoriddim or go through it one by one and compare it to my serato library.

Just trust it. It has hardly ever failed me. Like said, in less than 4% of my collection. I don’t like the doubling too (i edit those back).
Why use lexicon, when serato SR crates are already readable by djay?

When I saw the serato crate I noticed there were no bpm in the library tab. I loaded in a track and it analyzed it. I was unsure how good the analyzing is. And because one song was right detected doesn’t mean its for every song.
I was: “Hmm that’s bad, I already have everything perfect in my serato”
So I thought I give Lexicon a try to export it directly into the djay library maybe it takes the bpm with it. Basically it did because I can see the right bpm in the bpm tab in the library but on load it still analyzes it and then changes the bpm according what it analyzed.
I mean I can check every song manually with my serato library to 100% sure, but this is pain.

Hi @critsune, I just wanted to confirm that it’s not possible to disable djay’s analysis.

Hey thanks for answering,
yeah I thought so, but I already checked some of my songs and I can confirm that my fear of checking the tracks if it’s the same as in Serato was unfounded because every song was spot on even 70s or 80s songs.

You’re welcome @critsune. Thanks for confirming

Hi,
I’m testing to switch from Serato to djay pro and i noticed the same problem. I want to keep exact BPM, grid etc.. but djay pro analyses the track and modifies all… (even when i set linear detection). Impossible for me to check all tracks. Without the possibility to keep exact serato grid and bpm, i can’t make the switch. (i know DJay Pro has powerfull bpm detection, but it’s usefull for Sync mode, that i dont use)

Hi @El_Tomus, welcome to the Community! I just wanted to confirm that it’s not possible to disable djay’s analysis.

Thanks for confirmation, hope this feature will be implemented.

You’re welcome @El_Tomus

Iam still waiting for djay pro to let you half or double bpm on multiple tracks at the same time.. loading tracks one by one to fix it is too much
