I would love to have the option to see how much the key signature transposes once I match two or more tracks (just like Rekordbox and Serato effortlessly do)
I need to be able to assess whether it has just shifted by on or two semitones or by more than 3 (which usually becomes unplayable due to sound deterioration)
.
It’s the only reason I still have to reach out and use the track pad on my laptop during a gig. Oh, and the lack of being able to open folders in the library list.
We have OpenKey format on our request list. Showing the semitones is an interesting idea as well… I can see that being very useful for pitch shifted tracks and I’ll be sure to forward these requests to the team. Currently, as you probably noticed, you have to click on the key signature icon to see by how many semitones the track is shifted. Do you match keys using a controller? Also, what exactly do you mean by lack of being able to open folders in the library list?
Thanks for those videos, super helpful! Both the keyboard actions for grid shift and the open folder action via MIDI make perfect sense, I’ve just forwarded these to the team.

That would be wonderful. Yes, that extra click is which I’m trying to avoid. I don’t care for either Open Key or traditional Key display. I’m familiar with both. What is of importance is the Key Shift amount (+/- 1-12) as I would instantly be able to see and evaluate whether a track is going to work pitch shifted or not, without even having to listen to it in the first place (a -6 pitch will most likely not work but a -1 to the parallel subdominant will)
Because I want to stay focused on my controller/deck without having to constantly access my laptop, just to check on something.
Same applies for shifting the Beat Grid, btw. While I can access the Downbeat grid on the fly during my sets, I have to click on the pencil to be able to shift the grid lines if they are off by a few milliseconds. As you can imagine this can become rather cumbersome during a live performance because if you just miss the icon of the pencil and you accidentally click on the waveform that will stop the playback of that deck. (These are all things that Serato lets you do via keyboard/controller btw. It’s a highly practical and real-life scenario oriented consideration)

Yes, I am. I’m using a custom mapped Reloop Terminal Mix 4.
While I can scroll and control/assign all those wonderful parameters within DJay Pro the one I can’t configure and get to work is the one to open folders in the library list from my controller.
