I’ve noticed that using the dissolve option on automix permanently overrides whatever EQ has been set prior to the transition and reverts to flat. I realise that the dissolve feature uses EQ to achieve what it does but really I would expect it to revert back to the pre-transition EQ settings each time, not reset all EQ back to flat. The dissolve transition is my preferred option by far as it sounds great but I’m having to use fade if I’m playing anywhere that needs EQ adjusted from Djay itself. Autoplay is otherwise a great feature for the first hour or so of playing out before things pick up and would be great to use it with the superior dissolve transition without this annoying EQ resetting behaviour.
Hi @GaryGibbon, this is expected behavior. If you would like to apply EQing to your output mix while using the Dissolve automix, you could consider the Main Out Effect found near the bottom of the djay Settings menu. Here you can select various EQ options for the main audio output.
Ok thanks - I guessed it might be considered expected behaviour despite it being the opposite to what I would “expect”
Thank you for sharing details on the workaround I will try that out instead.
