djay 2 and idj pro not working properly

if you press play and try to scratch the track stops. i try to press play again and it won’t play the track.

i’m using the following:
ipad 2 (mc769ll/a)
ios 9.3.5
idj pro (firmware 1.3.9)
djay 2 (2.8.27)

everything was working fine a week. i’ve tried:
• wiping ipad, re-installed djay 2
• tried various power outlets to plug in idj pro
