I have sent numerous emails to the support team with No response. So I am turning to the community.
I am using a Numark IDJ pro and running off my Ipad 2, the newest version of Djay 2, about an hour into mixing or listening to music the app crashes and sends me to a black screen. What gives?
This happened to me during a gig last weekend, I need a fix before next weekend because I have another gig…

The latest version is 2.8.18 - always quote versions and the steps you executed leading up to the crash. Always restart the App before a session so that it re-initialises.
Also, you need to check with support if automatic crash reports are received on failure.
There was a crash a year or two back where adding a track to the queue.
I got the same problem with my Ipad 2:with the new version 2.8.17 the app crashes every 30 minutes.
I’ve reset my Ipad but the problem is the same. I got Ios 10.3.3
Not a problem after hours of djing with older versions. Please solve this as soon as possibile!
Can you give that version to me? It woul be great to switch back until fix of the problem
With the new update looks like the stability is ok: I’ve tested it for some hours of mixing in autoplqay and with a couple of hours in manul mode.

It has not was using it on Saturday and crashed after 2 1/2 hours luckily I had my other iPad and pulled it out to keep playing had to switch between the two to keep playing was on a 5 hour gig for a family reunion wish we could go back to the old, had no problems. Waiting patently we will get back to giggin soon their working on it and I trust they will have fixed soon.
I’m sorry everyone this app still has problems still crashes after two n a half hours of play I know because I used it last night on a gig and it crashed three times the only thing that I can say is we need the old version back didn’t have any problems now I’m going to switch because I can’t afford to keep losing clientele
Oh yes I know customer service is aware of the problem but nothing has changed. I will not be sending another screen shot I am just going to move forward have to do business properly.
James I had the same problem, I sent another email to customer service and they tried to blame my iPad told me it doesn’t happen on the newer version, well I have the brand new version and it still crashes, I don’t talk bad about ppl or companies but this is really rediculous can’t work under these conditions they should just go back to old before the upgrade didn’t have any problems…
WI have crash problems and black screen after the last update of June 12, in 3 hours using had 03 crashes, I need a quick solution, my setup is ipad mini + ddj 4.
the solution was to make dowgrade to version 2.8.8 was the last most stable of the app, glad I got backups of my ipad on macbook. Waiting for a real algoriddim solution, new updates are bugging the app whether it was great for small gigs.
version 2.8.8 - fiz via backup do macbook de jan 2018, vc tem algum backup no itunes? verifique seus backups anteriores a 30 maio de 2018.
after the new update 2.18 I did test one hour of setup and still did not show any problem I’m still testing to see if all the crash bugs in the app have been fixed with the help of everyone to solve this problem

AFTER EXHAUSTIBLE TEST HOURS SHOWS FALLS AFTER EXECUTION OF 100 TRACKS, IPAD MINI IOS 9.3.5 THIS IN THE LATEST VERSION OF THE APP, I HAD TO DOWNGRADE TO 2.8.8 THIS IS THE MOST STABLE VERSION WITHOUT ANY PROBELEMAS WITH FALLS, I HONOR SOMETHING THAT THE ALGORIDDIM GERE SOME SOLUTION FOR THIS APP, SINCE YOU ARE LOSING THE CREDIBILITY FOR PROFESSIONAL USE OF DJING.
I did a test of 02 hours of gig ok, another test in 04hs in automix mode dropped the app, DDJ Wego4 + Ipad Mini. Be careful if you spend 2 hours of gig.
Sadly, because of all the bugs and even that old, unsolved static issue, I moved to a Pioneer DDJ-SX running Serato and never looked back. I HAD been running DJ Pro off my iPad Pro on channel 1 of that controller, until this recent list of issues. DJ Pro has the potential to be awesome, if the bugs get fixed in a timely manner. As it stands, I just can’t take worrying if my gig will go 100% due to unstable DJ Software…
If anyone cares, the move from my Numark IDJ Pro w/ DJ Pro to a Pioneer with Serato was pretty much painless… the things that you had to manually do on the IDJ are waaay easier to do in Serato…
If you switch to Serato, give me a holler. I made the switch and Serato has been beyond awesome. Stable and super powerful as well… If you have any questions or need help, I’m available…
