djay 5.6 DVS on iPad does not recognize DJM-450

My iPad is not detecting the DJM-450(FW ver.1.07) interface.
I updated djay on my iPad(OS26.1) and connected it to the DJM-450 via a USB hub.
I rebooted both the iPad and the DJM-450.
Is there anything I should do?
Djay DVS, DJM-450, USB-Hub and cable work on my MacBookAir (M1, OS15.5) without Audio Interface box.

You can’t use the 450 on iOS devices because it is not class compliant. You can only use it on Mac OS and windows.

@Wyley
Thank you. I know about it, but official information and Algoriddim Staff says DJM-450 can be used with djay 5.6 DVS on iOS.
Now I’m guessing that’s incorrect information. But I’m asking because I want to use the DJM-450 without an audio interface box.

Hi @doping-hamster, I’m on vacation. Please submit an official support request through the app.

  1. Open the djay app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings>Contact Support.
  3. Fill out the submission form and title your email ā€œATTN: MARIE – ā€œThe Title of your Community Topicā€ in the provided subject line.
  4. Please also include a link to the Community Topic so support can reference everything we’ve discusses here. Thanks!

I own a DJM-450, but using it with an external soundcard because of the lack of class compliancy. But indeed, the list now mentions DJM-450 as new.

Watching this closely, would be great to have compatibility, but doubt this is possible without a firmware update.

There’s no firmware updates for DJM-450, and I suspect it’s just a misinformation.

On a Mac with the DJM-450 driver installed, IF of the mixer was detected by updating djay without updating the firmware.
Does the iPad only work with class-compliant hardware? Can’t it be supported with a software or firmware update??

As far as I’m aware you can’t install audio drivers on iOS devices, and I prefer the phrase ā€˜typo’ or ā€˜mistake’ than misinformation, as that would imply that it was done in bad faith.

I’m guessing this was a typo. Please reach out to support while I’m away. Thanks!

I guess it’s now supported on Mac. If I remember correctly it worked with Mac before, but wasn’t really supported. I use a DJM-450 with a Traktor Audio 6 and Phase in combination with an iPad.

I do have the DJM-450 connected to my Mac though, for producing sampling and recording.
For me this setup actually works great. I actually have multitrack recording of dj sets this way.

This was a mistake when we updated our website — the DJM-450 is unfortunately not class compliant, and therefore does not work on iOS.

This has now been corrected. Sorry for the confusion and getting your hopes up.

Before update, I could use djay without BOX only while background running rekordbox.I mainly use Audio 6, djay, and DJM-450 at home, but they are a little unstable.

I understand. Thank you for your reply. It seems difficult to support DJM-450, because which is not class compliant.

Hi Anders could you put online again the mixers that work with DVS. The page is not anymore online. And also for Windows.
Thanks.

@PatriceCros thanks for the note, the article is back up. :+1::

Thanks for fixing this @Anders!

it seems that djm-450 and xone 24c are not updated…

This has now been fixed as well @PatriceCros. Thanks!
