Djay is the best

"I recently added the SC Live 4 to my setup.

The more I use Engine DJ, the more I’m reminded of how truly wonderful djay is. To put it simply, djay is more user-friendly and far more functional. It’s not just a matter of what I’m used to—djay’s flexible customization is simply outstanding.

That said, Engine DJ has its own strengths, particularly its UI design. I can navigate that small screen completely stress-free. In that regard, it actually feels superior to djay’s iPad interface, especially with how easy the Library is to use.

I’d love to see more UI flexibility implemented in the future. Regardless, I’m staying a loyal djay user! Huge thanks to the powerhouse dev team for constantly making the app better and more intuitive."

I started with Traktor about 20+ years ago and I’ve tried Serato, Virtual DJ and I did dabble with Rekordbox. And in my opinion, even though none of them are perfect, Djay ticks the majority of my boxes and is now firmly my DJ software of choice.

I got into streaming my tracks recently for my mixes which both amplified the poor beat grids with Serato and highlighted how good the beat grids are in Djay.

My wife is fed up of me putting sets together on my iPad, as I keep telling her how much of a game changer it is, to be able to prepare sets whilst sat on the couch.

One thing I would appreciate though, is to be able to zoom out more on the waveforms in Djay.

After that, it would be nice to have customizable midi actions for things like long press, double tap of buttons and also to have midi out options for things like flashing buttons.
