Djay not updating playlists from Apple Music

Hi, Slak_Jaw

**I don’t know if no one noticed, but djaypro is not accepting any changes made on a playlist stored in Music. In the past, I moved the songs up and down in Music and the changes were updated in djaypro once I turned it off, well, not anymore. Moreover, even if you eliminate a song in a Music playlist, it continues to appear in djaypro as if nothing has been eliminated. This is HORRIBLE because the playlists are static, and you are not able to clean them anymore. Please, tell me you guys didn’t screw up again, and it’s a button I have switch on!

Have you tried Library - Refresh Library?

Yes, I have, and NOTHING!

Hi @Marcio_Jorge,

Sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing this library issue as of late.

So that I can better assist you, could you please answer the following questions:

  1. What Mac model are you using?
  2. What version of macOS are you running?
  3. Are you using djay v5.2.5?
  4. When you refer to the “Music” source are you instead referring to “local music” or “Apple Music”?
  5. Are there any additional details you can give us regarding this issue?

Hi there, again, Nathaniel,

Don’t waste any sleep over it. Case resolved. It looked like a bug was going on with a specific playlist from Apple Music, as when I started shifting songs on the other ones, everything was fine. I basically fooled the machine by moving the first two songs up and down on the bugged playlist and, for some reason, everything was updated. Well, you know what technology is like: You send a message, if the response is not received (for whatever reason), the two apps stay in a limbo, which is broken by stimulating them at some point. That crazy.

Thanks for the follow up @Marcio_Jorge. Glad to hear you got it sorted out!
