Your question:

hello everyone. I use djay Pro with a macbook pro and Reloop Mixtour. I’ve noticed that by setting Mixtour as output in both the macbook and djay Pro settings I get very different output gain between djay Pro and other apps. The output of djay Pro is much weaker! Can you tell me why this happens?
Thanks!

(macbook pro m2, Os 13.6, Reloop mixtour, dJay Pro 5.2)

Hi @TheSpanish, please check the following:

  1. Main Volume level in djay
  2. Audio Limiter: consider turning this off if you want higher output
  3. Output Headroom: consider selecting a smaller value if you want a higher output level
  4. Channel gains: make sure the gain knobs on your hardware and/or on screen are not accidentally turned down. Near 12 o’clock is preferred.
  5. Line Faders: make sure your line faders are at or near the top of their range.

I just didn’t realise that the main volume of djay pro was about halfway up! Must be the effect of the 41 degree temperature.

Apologies for the somewhat superfluous post

No problem @TheSpanish. Happy to help and glad we were able to sort it out.

When I replace most songs w/ new songs on either side, the gain randomly changes volume with & w/o the controller attached, as well as audio limiter off & on. I’m working around the issue by reminding myself to double :white_check_mark:. Any suggestions?

Hi @DUFFUS, try going to the djay Settings>Sound and turn Auto Gain OFF.

Turned off audio limiter, auto gain & save restore. So far so good. Thanks for the help.
