Djay Pro not finding local music

  • No hardware in use

I upgraded Djay and my MacBook to the above current versions and my local music is not populating my local tab in Djay. I have removed all traces of djay and reloaded again and nothing. I have emailed support and trying to get answers is like pulling teeth.
Any help is appreciated!!!

Hello @DJ_Gene_Gene,
I am not with Algoriddim team, but may try to help.
A few questions first:

  • Where would this local music come from ?
  • Are you downloading from Streaming Services (if yes, which one ?), or are these totally independent local files ?
  • If they are purely independent files (like ripped CD’s or downloaded from other services), have you tried finding them using the finder icon on the left ?

The local music come from my local drive on my laptop. Djay usually picks up the music fom the Imusic folder. it has done this with every version but this one. All streaming services are working fine.

Are you using Apple Music as well?

Hi @DJ_Gene_Gene, please try the following:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music
  3. If djay is not list there, click + and add djay.
  4. Restart djay and see if the local library loads.
