That update is a fucking joke cause it still does the same thing when cueing!!!
I have exactly the same issue: emergency fix is to press BOTH headphone que buttons which will give you audio in all speakers but will requires you to turn off the not in use channel. NEEDS FIXING ASAP
Should I be returning my idj for a alternate product? is this issue going to be resolved with the next update? There should really be some communication to the consumer… Not a good Expierience!! Certainly seeing how there is now fix, STILL!
I like the product and just want it to work.
Warren,
At what point should I seriously consider returning before my warranty expires for defective product? I can’t use this thing with the pre cue being f’d like this… An honest answer would be appreciated. Thanks
Good point Brandon …
This is nuts I’m calling Numark tomm lets see the there service is and the answers I get… My patience is wearing. YOU SPEND GOOD MONEY WHICH THEY GLADLY EXCEPT AND ALL YOJ WANT IS AN HONEAT ANSWER AND YOU CANT EVEN GET THAT!!
That is awesome news to hear. If you need a tester let me know.
Downloading the update now. I’ll do the firmware update later this afternoon.
Ran my system for 2 hours yesterday with no issues with sound. However I did have a new have an issue with the tempo in that some songs were too slow and some were too fast. Had to use the pitch control to get them back to the right tempo. Not sure if that has to do with the new key control. Love some of the new features like the hold over the load button and the stop the play list after the automix goes through the cue. Nice update there.
Just found the setting in transition and turned off the auto sync bpm and that took care of that.
Hello, just thought id add my 2p worth. Purchased my iDJ Pro about 3 months ago. I have been doing roughly 2hr sets on it at home without any issues. On saturday i played at my wifes 40th birthday party for 6hrs, never had one single problem.
It would be interesting to see a poll on how many owners actually have the split feed issue and how many dont.
Im using a March 2013 unit with 32gig ipad2, with iOS 7.0.4.
Sorry forgot to add that, im using the latest updated version of Djay.
Im using djay2 brandon, i have 1 but dont use it. First thing i do is turn machine on, leave it for a minute or 2 then insert ipad, connect it, wait another minute then start the app, i probably dont push it as hard as some, i bairly use effects, only the filter and looping, i select a song usually by using the load button.
The only problem i had during my gig was the vibration from the dancers made a platter jump, this was probably more down to the dodgy stage and my dodgy stand, ohh and my hand also kept nudging the platter…apart from that it was faultless, been keeping an eye on this thread and had major worries about it happening.
Using Djay2 on an iPad Air 64gb wifi on NYE, all other apps shut down, airplane mode, idj pro using L & R xlr to xlr active Mackie speakers and not one issue occurred for over 6 hours. Used a playlist via automix for first 90 mins then switched to queuing and manual loading without problems. First time I’d used the air for such a long stint after having had problems with ipad 3 previously.
Seeing Ron’s post above - is the use of an Air avoiding any issues or has anyone encountered problems with one?
Has anyone considered giving their iPad 2 a wipe? When iOS 7 was released, most of the issues, freezing, crashing etc happened on practically every app even after updates. I’d advise to reformat the iPad by doing a clean wipe. Then reinstalling the DJay App itself.
iOS 7 is Apples way of saying, we are pushing you to buy a new hardware. They do it with iPhones all the time, I don’t expect it’ll be any different with iPads. The major part of the issue is the Operating system which is the release of iOS 7. iOS 7 causes everything to freeze, so therefore your DJay app is going to freeze as well.
I am pretty sure when everyone installed iOS 7, they just overlayed it onto existing apps. If anyone has the time, try wiping it. This is basic troubleshooting 101. I have yet to read a comment where someone has wiped the iPad and started from scratch. For many of you that do not want to have to reload all your songs, I get it. I’ll make it easy (since the system is just entertainment for me and I don’t have gigs like everyone else) when I get home, I will try it, and then repost.
****Update**** finally got my hardware for $200. Not experiencing the issues you guys are having. I did uninstall application apps including DJ, rebooted iPad and reinstalled DJ and it works fine. Are u guys using XLR?
I have an iPad3 and have both DJay and DJay 2… It started doing it to mine the first day I used it. I reverted back to DJay and it works fine so it is defiantly the software. I am afraid to use it as one time it turned the levels up full blast and plays both tracks at the same time. (Sounded great to my clients). Switched back to the original program and no issues. I started with the iPad1 and DJay with the iDJPRO and no issues (other than the iPad was a POS) I upgraded to the new software when I upgraded my iPad and the problems started. What really pisses me off is that I spent money “upgrading” to a program that I cant use.
I never deleted the original app… Look it itunes and see if is still listed as an app and reinstall it… Unless they fix this problem soon… I will NEVER buy another Numark product…or an Algoriddim app… And I will tell everyone I know about my wonderful experience… which includes about 300 DJ’s in South Florida. Maybe I should have bought the Pioneers…
When it happened to me I thought it was the cable at first. I run stereo and noticed when I unplugged the left channel the whole thing worked. So I thought it was the cable. Then the second time it happened both track started playing (the one playing and the one I was cueing) and I had no control over the volume. Fortunately I use a mixer and was able to shut it down. I closed djay2 and opened djay1 and the problem went away. I run RCA jacks… but I don’t think it matters as the software is cutting out the left channel output from the ipad… and I use an iPad 3 with os7. For the record djay1 works flawlessly…
This problem happened me last night again. And funny enough I was thinking the same Brandon. The issue seems to be with the left side xlr output. I guess its the softwares fault for not pushing the sound that way…
I was thinking if I done what you have in ur video would that be a solution. Seems to be.
I used the controller last week, on airplane mode and had other apps closed. not a problem.
But I’m still not sure about the product… maybe a few bad reviews on the app store would get them to hurry up with a fix.
Poor service. but then again, what do you expect from a cheap product?
