Djay's Finder doesn't find tags made in My Collection

I tagged a bunch of tracks in Djay’s My Collection, but when searching those tags in Djay’s Finder, only about 90% of them appear.
The tags may not show up in various columns—like Composer, Rating, Released, Genre, etc.

The only workaround so far is to re-tag in Djay’s Finder the columns that didn’t carry over when tagging in My Collection.
It seems that if you tag directly in Djay’s Finder, the tags carry over reliably, but tagging from My Collection doesn’t seem to transfer 100% of the time.

Hi @Donn, sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for the details about the issue and your setup - this is very helpful.

  1. What format are the files?
  2. Does the location of the file in My Collection match that in My Files? e.g. right-click on the track in My Collection and do “Show in Finder”
  3. Do the tags appear in My Files if you restart djay?
  4. Please collect a log output from Console.app on macOS while replicating the issue in djay:
    a. Open Console.app: in Finder>Applications>Utilities.
    b. Set Up Console: In the sidebar, select your Mac under “Devices.” Click “Errors and Faults” to focus on potential issues (yellow/red dots). Click “Start” in the toolbar to stream logs in real-time.
    c. Replicate the Issue: Open djay and perform the actions that trigger the issue. Note the exact time of the issue.
    d. Filter djay Logs: In the Console search bar, type “djay” to filter logs related to the djay software.
    e. Save Logs: Select relevant log entries and go to File>Save to export as a .log file. Note timestamps for issue correlation.
    f. Share with Support: upload the .log file to your Google Drive/Dropbox, enable sharing permissions, then share a link to the file here.
