Thanks for sharing @skymakai

Hi, I just tried to use DJCU2 (beta) to import DJay’s fluid grids into Rekordbox. I disabled first auto-analysis in RB, did not use edited tracks in DJAY pro, like advised in MMG’s tutorials. RE-analysed all tracks in Djay pro, then tried th DJCU2 with the track ‘come on Eileen’, but RB doesn’t want to take over the fluid grids. What am I doing wrong ?

You’re better off asking the man himself. Email him, he usually responds pretty quickly.

Thanks Daniel, I just analyzed everything with chat GPT and will send MMG those findings.

The imported BPM in Rekordbox consistently corresponds to the BPM near the end of the track (≈135 BPM), rather than the average or starting BPM. This may indicate that DJCU2 is reading only the final tempo segment instead of the complete dynamic beatgrid.

Hi @DJPhil7, welcome to the Community! Yes, please contact MixMasterG directly for support with his software.

As suggested, I’ve contacted MixMaster G, sent him the report and he promptly replied. Problem solved !

Many thx MMG !

Perfect! Thanks for the follow up @DjFilip. Glad he was able to sort it out for you.

Maybe helpful to post here the solution. If others come around they could find the solution. That probably could save mmg some questions

Mixmaster G suggested to re-download the track to my Mac and import it directly from there into Djay pro. Analyze there and then use the DJCU2 to export the fluid grids to Rekordbox. I downloaded the ‘Come on Eileen-clean’ track from BPM supreme . DJCU2 works perfectly; all other tracks that I tried in my collection as well. Great !
But with my previous existing ‘come on eileen track ‘- ‘single Edit , I can try what I want.: doesn’t work. Since all other tracks do, I guess It’s just a ‘track thingie’ I suspect. I have duplicates /different versions in my library, so probably this one has some fixed grids ‘somewhere’ and then it will not work, as also mentioned in the tutorial.

One final addition : finally got the ‘single Edit-problem-track ‘ also working : all my audiofiles are in dropbox, and should also be on the local drive. It apparently was NOT the case for this track, which was the reason it did to convert properly. Conclusion.: you need to be sure All tracks are on the local drive , as MMG also mentions in his tutorials. Problem solved.

Thanks for the additional details @DJPhil7

It does work incredibly well, the grids are bang on and it’s pretty quick.

Mixmaster G also mentions that when you have manually updated the beatgrid that the fluent beat grid is not synced properly. For these tracks you have to ‘reset‘ the beat grid with the result button and reanalyse the song. He also mentions that only a reanalyse without the reset is not fixing the sync issue
